The Dutch solution to stop people actively using their mobile on the bike: bribing!

The Dutch solution to stop people actively using their mobile on the bike: bribing!

The gov developed an app that will lock your phone while biking (though it seems this is a manual procedure) and maps the distance you have been biking offline. The more you bike offline the better the odds to win things like a bike. Would be cool to see some data about that once people start logging themselves.

Markdown and Evernote. It is (sort off) finally there.

Markdown and Evernote. It is (sort off) finally there.

Found this tool the other day that is making it possible to write simple Markdown documents (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markdown) that will convert into nice looking formatted Evernote notes.

It seems all very new, but the basics are working great. I can write my stuff, it autocompiles (it is split-window) so I can see what I do and the results are autosynced to Evernote.

Only problems I've had so-far is that when editing later in Evernote, the syncing back towards Marxico is inconsistent. Also, currently, the tools is using plain-old-http and no https, so I'd not use it for anything too sensitive (or on an open network).
