Mounting and reading an Encrypted Sparsebundle image (OSX) keeps on making small file changes and thus triggers Google Drive syncing.
If anyone has an idea why this is happening and if I can stop it let me know. If possible I'd keep it on r+w mounting as it contains some text files that I now and then have to change.

I’ve created an encrypted sparsebundle image to store some files that I want to keep safe in my Google Drive. However, I noticed, that even when just mounting this image and reading files (simple text files) the Google Drive application is constantly uploading “changes”. Why is this? I just perform a reading on files? More importantly, is there a way of stopping this? There is no point to have to re-upload constantly blocks that in essence didn’t…

Is amazed how dirt cheap these little virtual machines are these days. For 15$ having a simple node running with quite some bandwidth is not that bad, not that bad at all for little toy projects that you don't want to have interfering with your main machine
