+Cod Codliness this is proper summer news item! A couple of years ago there was a Puma sighted in central Holland where also the government spent quite some hours trying to find it!

Here in Scotland we have big cat sightings all the time, all year round! Ever since a puma got captured back in the 80s there have been alleged sightings of big cats all over Scotland. A small number of them have turned out to be true, but mostly they remain unproven.
There are similar numbers of sightings in England too, although there have been more captures and kills of various pumas, lynx and leopards there than in Scotland.

Nobody seems to know – at least one is believed to be from a breeding station, some are hybrids of domestic and wild cats, some may be abandoned pets and some may be stowaways or illegally imported animals.
