Comparing chromatin signatures (DNaseI hypersensitive) and transcript abundances…

Comparing chromatin signatures (DNaseI hypersensitive) and transcript abundances (DGE sequencing) for 3 humans, 3 chimpanzees and 3 macaques shows evidence of gain and loss of regulatory elements that correlate with species-specific phenotypic changes. Also, they show that SNPs inside regulatory elements might be responsible for the variation in specie specific functions.
