The news comes less than two weeks after North Carolina's Senate passed a bill banning state agencies from reporting predictions of increasing rates of sea-level rise.

It's a bit of a head scratcher isn't it. Just read that Aust is on track for a one-metre rise by 2100. Also that the chief oceanographer of the US Navy is planning for the same. The North Carolina senate might find itself out of step with reality – or else they'll equip everyone with snorkels and flippers and pretend nothing is happening!

When did the North Carolina state Senate actually operate in step with reality? There must have been a specific year that they had their psychotic break.
When your Government has a break with reality, it's time to:
A) Protest and raise awareness
B) Vote the psychotics out
When governments they start muzzling their own agencies, it's time for a change. Vote for the enlightenment, and just say no to muzzling of science. Indiana tried to legislate the value of Pi, that didn't work very well for them.
